SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Cooling spaces and resources are being made available for residents across Spokane, Spokane Valley and the greater Spokane County as temperatures continue to increase and air quality declines due to wildfire smoke.
Officials reminded the public that long stretches of heat and smoke can be dangerous, especially for children and older adults, encouraging residents to spend time in air-conditioned spaces while checking on friends, family and neighbors.
