One of Kansas City’s favorite barbecue restaurants announced an official opening date for its Lee’s Summit restaurant and fourth location in the KC metro.
Q39 will open Aug. 3 at 240 SW Oldham Parkway, its owners announced on Instagram this week. The competitive-barbecue restaurant’s newest location is part of Oldham Village, a mixed-use development near the intersection of Missouri Route 291 and U.S. Highway 50.
“The pits are hot, the grills are lit, and we’re excited to be bringing pit-to-plate barbecue right here to Lee’s Summit,” said executive chef Patrick Peluso in a video on Instagram.
In the video, Kelly Magee, co-founder and CEO of Q39 who opened the more “upscale” BBQ restaurant with her late husband, Rob Magee, told viewers that reservations are now open…
