Milwaukee woman charged with shooting 12-year-old, fleeing deputies with 4 children in car

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman released from prison about a week earlier is facing 22 charges after she allegedly shot a 12-year-old boy during a dispute over a water cooler, then led deputies on a nearly 6-mile pursuit with four children in her vehicle, according to a criminal complaint.

Cosetta Burrell is charged with first-degree reckless injury, physical abuse of a child, possession of a firearm by a felon, fleeing an officer, felony bail jumping and multiple counts of recklessly endangering safety. The complaint states the shooting happened Friday, July 17 near 60th and Silver Spring.
