PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Thousands were without power due to outages around the Portland metro area Wednesday afternoon, according to Portland General Electric.
As heat continues to rise Wednesday afternoon, PGE showed two major outages around the Portland area, including one in Tigard near Washington Square Mall and another in Portland’s Goose Hollow neighborhood.

According to the PGE Outage Map, at around 3:30 p.m., there were nearly 6,000 people without power near Washington Square and just under 3,000 people without power in Goose Hollow.
By 4:30 p.m., Power had been restored to the Goose Hollow area, but certain area businesses, like The Multnomah Athletic Club, opted to remain closed for the rest of the day…
