RUSSELL COUNTY, Ala. (WTVM) – The Alabama Department of Transportation announced this month it is adding major intersection improvements to an ongoing resurfacing project on US-431 near Alabama 165.
The improvements include new turn lanes, road widening, guardrail installation and better sight distance for drivers from Freeman Road to Highway 280.

The project is expected to bring intermittent lane closures. Drivers should plan for possible delays.
Community had called for changes
