PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Over 11,000 power outages are being reported across the Triad on Thursday morning as heavy rains fall over the region, according to ReadyNC.gov
Rainfall totals have exceeded 4 to 5 inches overnight, and steady showers continue to roll across the Triad this morning.

An additional 2 to 3 inches is possible in the southern Piedmont. Still, we will see the showers getting lighter through the day before finally tapering off toward dinnertime as the cold front sags southward. Temperatures stay steady in the lower-70s.
