(KRON)– On Tuesday, 9 protestors were arrested in front of the C&H Sugar Facility in Crockett.
A large crowd had gathered in front of the facility making it harder for workers to leave and for delivery trucks to enter. Contra Costa County Sheriff deputies say they received phone calls of protesters throwing rocks at the delivery trucks as they were trying to leave the facility.
The California Highway Patrol was also on site; they are investigating claims that two people were hit by vehicles. Sheriff’s deputies stayed on-site for about five hours but decided to declare the protest an unlawful assembly…
