PHILADELPHIA, PA — State and local law enforcement agencies will conduct a coordinated aggressive driving enforcement operation along U.S. 1 on Friday, July 24, as Pennsylvania expands efforts to reduce crashes that killed 37 people last year across the Philadelphia region.
The enforcement initiative will cover U.S. 1 in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties and is part of a statewide campaign running through Aug. 16. PennDOT, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Philadelphia Police Department and more than 80 municipal law enforcement agencies are participating.
According to PennDOT, the five-county region recorded 2,190 aggressive driving crashes in 2025, resulting in 37 fatalities and 114 suspected serious injuries.
