DA: Darrow man found guilty in connection with Geismar shooting in 2023

A judge found a Darrow man guilty of attempted second-degree murder and two other charges, the district attorney announced in a news release.

After waiving rights to a jury trial, Judge Steven Tureau held a bench trial July 21 and found 30-year-old Brannon Ellis guilty of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated flight from an officer and unlawful handling of machine guns, according to 23rd Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin.
