SWAT Called to Oak Cliff Home After Man Barricades Himself and Starts Fire Inside
Tuesday morning started like most mornings do on Delaware Avenue in Oak Cliff. Then a call came in at 6 a.m., and nothing about it was ordinary.
A man had threatened a woman and a child with a weapon. By the time it ended, the house was on fire, and the man was dead inside it. The woman and child got out. That part matters more than people realize.

Dallas Police Department responded to the 600 block of Delaware Avenue around 6 a.m. after receiving a report of a disturbance armed encounter on foot.
