‘I don’t want to be a silent victim’: Victim of Pearl Street stabbing speaks

BOULDER, Colo. (KDVR) – The woman who survived a knife attack on Boulder’s Pearl Street is speaking out after the attack, telling FOX31 that more attention needs to be paid to mental health.

Katie Higney says on June 25, she was walking to work from a nearby parking garage, when a man grabbed her and stabbed her in her left hand.

The 35-year-old suspect also lunged at two more people, she told FOX31, before he was eventually arrested.

She told FOX31 that one of those two individuals threw coffee at the suspect to thwart the suspected attack…
