Collapsed retaining wall near UT campus causes power outage

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Crews are working to repair a collapsed retaining wall at an apartment complex near the University of Tennessee campus on Thursday.

The collapse occurred near the intersection of S. Broadway Street and Front Avenue at the Maplehurst Park Apartments.

Knoxville man charged with aggravated arson after hotel fire

No injuries were reported and there were no residents occupying the nearby building at the time. Knoxville Utilities Board personnel are at the scene to restore a power outage caused when the wall fell on a guide wire and knocked out a transformer.
