RISPCA seeks adopters as guinea pig surrenders reach ‘all-time high’

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is sounding the alarm after reaching “critical piggy capacity.”

In a social media post Thursday, the RISPCA explained that its small animal room is inundated with guinea pigs.

“Please, for the love of lettuce … adopt a guinea pig,” the RISPCA wrote. “We have so many wonderful guinea pigs waiting for families of their own.”…
