When you’re ready to head inside, you’ll find over 500 vendors and retro goodies throughout 60,000 square feet. Also inside are five snack bars and a restaurant. Oldies Marketplace is a seasonal Newburyport treasure with indoor and outdoor spaces. The Canal Street Antique Market is somewhere between a flea market, thrift shop, and boutique mall. The beautiful market is housed inside a warehouse in Lawrence and has multiple levels of wares. You may know this place as a seasonal drive-in movie theater (and it’s an awesome one), but this classic venue transforms into an amazing flea market featuring up to 150 vendors on select days of the week. It’s typically open for the season in mid-June as well as July and August on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. (weather-dependent). You can score everything from great vintage toys to local art and jewelry. Don’t forget to poke through their great selection of second-hand clothing as well. Tips for Visiting the Best Flea Markets in Massachusetts
When visiting a Massachusetts flea market, wear comfortable walking shoes. Many flea markets are huge and require walking long distances. Also, take both cash and credit cards with you—many vendors accept only cash, while others accept both.
