Inspired by trips to Japan and Japanese vending machine and cafe culture, local business owner Eric Bowman said he hopes to bring a new unique shopping concept to Denton with his brand, Velcrokid.
Bowman plans to open a storefront at 216 W. Mulberry St. this fall, opening the doors to what he described as a “designer toy store” and providing a space to highlight artists around the world.
“We’re kind of like an arts advocacy brand,” Bowman said. “I want to introduce new artists from around the world, both in the states and overseas, trying our best to make art accessible, which is one of the reasons why I love designer toys.”…
