Little Rock battery upgraded to homicide after victim dies in hospital

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — A battery investigation has been upgraded to a homicide after a Little Rock man died from his injuries, according to the Little Rock Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of a battery inside Little Rock National Cemetery around 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 18.

Police said 34-year-old Zachary Counts was found injured and transported to a local hospital. He later died from his injuries…
