ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Shondra McLarty, 55, of Rockton, is sentenced to six months in federal prison for stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a Rockford-area booster club.
Between 2023 and 2024, McLarty stole more than $34,000 from the Tumbling and Acro Boosters Club while serving as the organization’s treasurer.
Prosecutors say McLarty fraudulently used TAB’s business debit card for personal expenses like Netflix, dog grooming, a stretch limousine, dental work and a partial payment for a vacation to Cancún, Mexico.
