CASA GRANDE, AZ (AZFamily) — A Casa Grande couple welcomed their fifth child not in a hospital room, but in the passenger seat of their car in a casino parking lot, just minutes after being discharged from Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Baby Noa Drew Felix was delivered by her parents, Regena and Frankie Felix, after labor progressed faster than medical staff had anticipated during the couple’s initial hospital visit.
Discharged, then back on the road
The couple checked into Mercy Gilbert and were monitored for several hours before being discharged after progressing only two centimeters. Regena said she pushed back against the decision.
