There are plenty of ways a police pursuit can come to an end. Running out of gas, getting boxed in by patrol cars, or deciding it’s finally time to give up are all fairly common. Continuing to flee after multiple PIT maneuvers? That’s a little less common.
According to the Sandy Springs Police Department, officers helped bring a high-speed pursuit to an end after a suspect refused to stop despite several attempts to disable the fleeing vehicle. Even after multiple PIT maneuvers, police say the driver wasn’t ready to surrender.
