Law enforcement officials are on the lookout for a driver who, police say, left a vehicle behind and fled the scene after striking a police cruiser and crashing into a tree in Philly’s Germantown community overnight.
According to police, officers found a vehicle abandoned after a driver crashed into a tree along the 6300 block of Ardleigh Street in Germantown at about 12:30 a.m. on Friday.
In investigating this crash, police said, investigators determined the vehicle was likely the same one believed to have been involved in a crash earlier in the evening with a police vehicle that happened near the intersection of Chelten Avenue and McMahon Street in East Germantown…
