Funds Raised for Luke’s Layettes
Thanks to area merchants and the greater Brockport community, the Hot Dog Sale hosted by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Brockport, during the annual Sidewalk Sale was a tremendous success, raising more than $1,100 for Luke’s Layettes.
St. Luke’s is well known in the community for hosting recovery groups, community events, scouting programs, the Brockport Food Shelf and the Clothes Closet, as well as the Parish’s annual Book Sale, which provides affordable and diverse reading materials to young and old alike. Another Parish mission that is dear to St. Luke’s is Luke’s Layettes. And at the heart of Luke’s Layettes are program leaders Rosemary Catlin and Celia Berry. They are committed to keeping the layette supply cupboards filled with a variety of infant must-haves so when calls come in from community organizations, new moms, and even grandmothers, reaching out for help in welcoming home precious newborns, they are ready to meet the need…
