Police have arrested six suspects related to a string of planned armed robberies in San Jose, and four of them are juveniles. The incidents began in May 2026, when the San Jose Police Department, along with the robbery unit, launched an extensive investigation into these incidents at various businesses in the city. The first one occurred on May 23, around 3:35 a.m. in the 2500 block of S. King Road, as per the official release of the San Jose Police Department.
One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim while others collected items
Before the police reached the location, the five suspects allegedly fled the crime scene in two vehicles. The victim told the officers that while one put a gun to his head, others went behind the counter to collect whatever was valuable.
They also took boxes of various items from the business. Something similar happened three days later, on May 26, around midnight, as another report was made, informing about the commercial burglary and armed robbery in the 700 block of S. Winchester Boulevard, as per the release.
Investigators caught hold of one vehicle with an Automated License Plate Reader
On May 26, six suspects approached the business and conducted a similar drill. While one swung the gun at the victim’s face, others continued collecting the valuables and boxes from the business. This time, the investigators used an ALPR to find the vehicles used in the robbery.
