A Michigan nonprofit is encouraging Northern Michigan schools to request free backpacks filled with school supplies ahead of the new school year.
Storehouse of Community Resources is working to distribute 15,000 backpacks to students across Michigan through its 2026 Big Backpack Build campaign.
