Florida Lottery Reveals the Biggest Winners for April

The Florida Lottery has published a report in which it outlined the biggest lottery winners for April. As usual, the report comes 90 days after the wins, per the local lottery laws, which state that lottery winners and their city of residence are public record and may be released by the Florida Lottery after 90 days.

St Lucie Woman Wins $5M on Ticket Bought in Fort Pierce

The first big winner for the month was Maria Duran, a 57-year-old woman of St Lucie. Duran won a life-changing prize of $5 million from the $5,000,000 Crossword Cash scratch-off game. As the game’s title suggests, $5 million is the top prize featured in the game.

The lottery added that the winning ticket was purchased from PK 2 Quick Mart, located at 4101 Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce. Duran visited the lottery’s Orlando District Office on April 6, opting to receive her winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $3,262,138.

According to the Florida Lottery, $5,000,000 Crossword Cash is a $20 game that, at launch, featured six top prizes. The lottery’s official site shows that all such prizes have already been won.
