NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A 25-year-old man was arrested after discharging his gun during a verbal altercation Thursday afternoon on Jefferson Avenue, according to the Newport News Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a person who had fired a gun in the air in the 12900 block of Jefferson Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m. Police said two individuals reported that a man was in a verbal altercation with them before discharging his weapon in the air.
