AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Eight new Amarillo police officers were sworn in Friday afternoon after completing eight months of training at the Amarillo Police Department’s 106th Police Academy.
The recruits were honored at a graduation ceremony where loved ones pinned them after they took the oath. Police Chief Thomas Hover and Amarillo Mayor Cole Stanley addressed the crowd.
