NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A quick response from firefighters kept an apartment fire on Longdale Drive from spreading Saturday evening, according to Norfolk Fire-Rescue.
Fire crews were called to the 1300 block of Longdale Drive at around 7:13 p.m. on July 25. When crews arrived, they found a small fire on the second-story balcony of a two-story building.
Crews deployed a fire attack line to extinguish the fire, containing it to the balcony. Officials say their quick response kept the fire from spreading further. The fire was declared to be under control by 7:22 p.m.
No one was injured due to the fire…
