We are waking up to another warm start with low temperatures in the 70’s. As the day unfolds, a partly sunny sky is expected with humid southeast winds of 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will respond, heating back into the 90’s and low 100’s. Amarillo should top out near 100. Regarding precipitation, as of this writing, shower and thunderstorm chances remain low over the weekend. If you are lucky enough, however, to see a storm over your location, be aware of sudden strong winds, lightning, pockets of very small hail, and brief heavy downpours.
Tomorrow will see more of the same with summertime heat and highs near 103. Monday could reach close to 105, while Tuesday and Wednesday will stay close to 100…
