OKLAHOMA CITY (July 23, 2026) – The assailant who repeatedly stabbed an Edmond Police Officer last year received three life sentences Wednesday along with an additional 13 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in May to five felony charges and one misdemeanor.
Ocean Hudson attempted to commit suicide-by-cop on May 1, 2025 while Edmond Police Officer Caleb Hodam was conducting a traffic stop. Hudson, who was due in Canadian County Court that day for sexually abusing a four-year-old child and for possessing child sexual abuse materials, ambushed Hodam, pepper sprayed him and attacked him with a knife. After the attack, Hodam was rushed to OU Health where he was treated for his life-threatening injuries.
Following Hudson’s arrest, Edmond Police found multiple pictures and videos depicting child sexual abuse material on his phone. He is due in court Aug. 6 for the charges in Canadian County…
