GUILDERLAND — Before there was Pearl Grant Richmans, there were Pearl Grant and Richman’s Cards & Gifts.
Barry Richman was working at his parents’ shop, Richman’s Cards & Gifts, when they decided in 1965 to purchase Pearl Grant and combine the two stores into one, a locally owned shop that would prove to be a lasting cornerstone at Stuyvesant Plaza.
