Columbus, Ga. – Incoming Augusta golfer Andries van der Vyver finished 10th in the 97th playing of the Southeastern Amateur at the Country Club of Columbus. van der Vyver shot rounds of 64-68-72 and finished at 6-under-par, in a tie for 10th place.
From South Africa, van der Vyver got off to a hot start and was in the top five through two rounds. An early double bogey in his final round had him playing catchup the remainder of the day.
