A teenager riding an e-scooter was killed, and another teen on an e-bike was hurt late Monday night after a vehicle slammed into them on Rosecrans Avenue in Lawndale and then kept going, according to deputies.
The collision happened around 10:15 p.m. in the 4200 block of Rosecrans, authorities with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s South Los Angeles Station said. Investigators are treating the crash as a hit-and-run and say the driver took off before deputies arrived.
The juvenile on the e-scooter was pronounced dead at the scene, while the teen on the e-bike suffered minor injuries and was treated and released to his parents, according to CBS Los Angeles. The victim’s name has not been released, pending notification of relatives…
