A Miami-Dade public school has become the first in Florida approved to operate under a new technology-focused model that allows students to progress based on what they have learned rather than how many hours they have spent in class.
The Florida Board of Education approved Venetian Parc Academy as the state’s first district-managed Innovation School of Technology during its July 22 meeting.
