Man arrested after police standoff in Arnold to appear in court

A St. Louis man arrested in Arnold after an hourslong standoff at an Arnold apartment complex last year was recently booked at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro. He is scheduled to appear in Jefferson County court on Monday, July 27, according to court records.

William Payne Kehr Jr., 35, was arrested on Nov. 4, 2025, following an hourslong standoff at an apartment in the 100 block of Crosswinds Drive in Arnold. The standoff started at about 8 p.m. Nov. 3 when Arnold Police detectives saw Kehr get out of a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup that had been reported stolen on Nov. 1 in St. Louis.
