TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Performing Arts Center announced plans to begin a $55 million expansion to the west side of its building.
Since opening in 1977, TPAC has only received cosmetic improvements and a west-side expansion completed nearly 30 years ago. As a result, the facility has fallen behind its maintenance lifecycle, no longer meets many modern industry standards and struggles to provide the level of experience expected in a world-class performing arts-venue, particularly in the theatres and backstage spaces, TPAC said.
