(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A vehicle drove away from the scene of a crash after it clipped a motorcycle, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike and injured on Saturday, July 25, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD reported that at around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, several calls came in reporting a hit-and-run crash between a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle on the Austin Bluffs Parkway bridge over North Union Boulevard. The initial investigation showed that both the car and the motorcycle had been going eastbound on Austin Bluffs when the car clipped the motorcycle, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike.
The Car sped off from the scene of the crash while bystanders helped treat the motorcycle rider until medical personnel arrived, according to CSPD.
