After weeks of firefighting in the Boise foothills, the Claremont Fire is now 90% contained and has burned 6,606 acres.
The fire started July 6, 2026, and the cause remains under investigation. As of the latest update, nearly 250 personnel were assigned to the incident, including five crews, two aircraft and six engines.
