ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Heat is building across New Mexico, with advisories posted for the southern part of the state for the next three days.
Highs there are expected to run from 100 to 106 degrees, with a possible 108 near Carlsbad, Hobbs and Jal.
The East
A cold front moved through eastern New Mexico early Monday and then stalled near the Mexico border.
That setup should leave some eastern areas about 10 degrees cooler this afternoon than they were over the weekend.
