(WJW) — The start of the workweek will be very warm, if not hot and humid. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s on Monday. The high humidity levels will put feels like temperatures in the lower 90s. The heat and humidity on Monday is nothing we cannot handle for this time of year.

There is a chance clouds and rain could keep temperatures down in some spots. Scattered downpours and storms could redevelop Monday afternoon, mainly for places along and east of I-77. The coverage of rain and storms will increase Monday evening into Monday night when a cluster of downpours and storms will move through the area.
With the added heat and humidity, the strongest storms that develop Monday through Monday night could produce gusty winds, small hail, heavy rain, and frequent lightning.
Scattered rain showers will linger into Tuesday, but the rest of the workweek looks dry.
