Newberry roundabout opens amid questions over $1.5M investment

NEWBERRY, Fla. (WCJB) — A $1.5 million roundabout is now open in Newberry after county and city leaders say the project was designed to improve safety and keep traffic moving through a growing corridor.

The intersection reopened July 22. The project was jointly funded by Alachua County and the City of Newberry as part of the county’s 10-year Transportation Capital Improvement Program.
