Neighbors complained about debris and dog poop at a home in The Villages during a deed compliance hearing.
Community Standards received a complaint on May 12 regarding the unmaintained yard of Bernadette McGinnis at her home on Southeast 81st Newberry Court in the Bromley Villas in the Village of Chatham, according to testimony presented by staff at the hearing this past week at the Brownwood District Office.
Staff verified overgrown grass and weeds, along with miscellaneous debris throughout the yard and driveway of the patio villa. They were initially unable to get in touch with McGinnis, but she later indicated that she was working to address the yard maintenance. However, an inspection on July 16 determined the property remained out of compliance.
At the hearing, the next-door neighbors, Frank and Marilyn Colucci, stated they had been dealing with the “relentless” mess for nine years.
