OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Severe thunderstorms moved into western Oklahoma on Thursday evening, and forecasters said the region could see repeated rounds of strong weather through the weekend.
The National Weather Service issued watches and warnings for several counties, with the main concern centered on damaging straight-line winds.
Warnings
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for western Jackson County, Harmon County and parts of Greer County, with the warning set to expire at 8:15 p.m.
Earlier warnings covered western Jackson County, Harmon County and Greer County, while eastern Beaver County also briefly fell under a warning.
