Bakersfield, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) — A 23-year-old Bakersfield man died after his crashed car accelerated into the path of an oncoming semi-truck on Highway 99 early Monday morning.
The California Highway Patrol said on Monday, July 27, 2026, at around 12:37 a.m., officers were called to a report of a crash involving a Peterbilt semi-truck and a Chevrolet Cruze on northbound Highway 99 at Highway 46.
