Across Tennessee, districts hit refresh on K-5 screen time policies under new law

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A new Tennessee law is prompting school districts across the state to rethink how often elementary age students use laptops and other digital devices during the school day.

The law, passed in February, requires public school districts to adopt policies limiting classroom device use for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
