CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A storm knocked a large tree onto power lines on Greendale Avenue in Clifton, damaging a nearby home and cutting power to residents in the area, according to a reporter on scene.
The tree struck a home across the street, breaking out several windows and leaving debris on the roof. No injuries were reported.
Street closure in effect
Cincinnati Police have blocked Greendale Avenue at its entrance from Clifton Avenue. Drivers needing to access Greendale Avenue must enter from the opposite direction.
Widespread outages across metro
Approximately 25 residents on Greendale Avenue are without power. The outage is part of a broader impact from the storm, with about 12,000 power outages reported across the metro area.
