(WJET/WFXP)– The Chautauqua County Grand Jury has indicted a Jamestown man on murder and manslaughter charges over a fatal stabbing at the beginning of May 2026.
Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt announced the unsealing of that indictment in county court Monday, accusing 27-year-old Robert Brinkley of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years to life in prison.
Jamestown stabbing victim dies at UPMC Hamot: police
Brinkley is accused of fatally stabbing 32-year-old Torry Kenny of Jamestown, New York, in the eye on May 3 in the area of Lakeside Avenue and 8th Street, with Schmidt adding that Kenny was not armed at the time.
Police said Kenny was not responsive and was taken to UPMC Chautauqua and later flown to UPMC Hamot with what they called life-threatening injuries. He would later succumb to those wounds on May 6…
