ORANGE COUNTY, Florida – July 27, 2026: The Orange County School Board is scheduled to vote Tuesday, July 28, on proposed restrictions that could prevent most students from bringing e-bikes, e-scooters, and other motorized micromobility devices onto district property.
The latest proposal would generally prohibit elementary and middle school students, along with high school students who do not have valid driver’s licenses, from bringing covered micromobility devices onto School Board property. Licensed high school students could be permitted to bring qualifying devices if they register them and comply with district rules.
