Ahead of the upcoming Observatory Hill House Tour on Saturday, Aug. 1, we’re headed to the North Side neighborhood for this Feeling Nebby with Houses of Pittsburgh. Lisa Keller and Luke Berenbrok’s home is filled with stories, and one of the best belongs to the woman who owned it before them.

The couple has called the house home for the past five years, but the legacy of its former owner, Deb, is still part of its charm. Neighborhood lore says Deb won the house in a card game for just $1 in 1989. Whether it’s fact or fiction, what’s true is that she played a major role in preserving the home’s history…
