Two dead, one injured in wrong-way I-64 crash

ST. LOUIS – A wrong-way car crash late Sunday night in St. Louis left two people dead and another in critical condition.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, an individual in a Mazda CX entered the westbound lanes of Interstate 64 just before 11:45 p.m., traveling eastbound.

The wrong-way driver collided with a Ford Explorer near Jefferson Avenue, both cars bursting into flames. The drivers of each vehicle, both males, were pronounced dead at the scene…
