BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — With the first day of school two weeks away, Birmingham City Schools officials are reminding families that enrolling a student is not the same as completing registration.
School leaders said Monday thousands of students are not registered for the upcoming school year, a step that must be completed annually and could affect when students receive their class schedules.
“We got about 7,000 students who are not registered,” said BCS Superintendent Mark Sullivan. “So, we want those 7,000 students to register before the start of school.”…
